Pain almost appears to be breaking the usually round bubble into uneven and broken balloons. The little smaller balloons around it are reminiscent of sweat or tears (Heir’s Game by suspu)

If Goo were to describe the relationship between you and him, he would say: that everyday was like a vivid dream, filled with laughter and jokes that the both of you exchange in turns of another. How you would jokingly hit him for his unfunny jokes, how smiley you looked when he gifted you something, how it felt like he was the only one to make you laugh. It made him realized that, he wouldn't trade anything in the world for this relationship. He made a silent promise to remove anything that would interfere with this relationship.

But, he wouldn't have known this promise would be shattered as soon as he introduced you to his other close friend: Gun.

As each day passes, it seemed like you and Gun were getting closer and closer; from only meeting up whenever the trio is together to grabbing coffee with just you and Gun. The more Goo realized this special relationship he had with you is getting fainter by each day, it made him feel more helpless; considering his dear connection to Gun and you.

While his overthinking abused his mind, he didn't even realize that you and Gun were calling him from the front while he was walking from the back. From his perspective, your teasing smile next to Gun's tall figure looking back at him would create a lump stuck in his throat. He can't help but awkwardly smile back.

Several weeks has gone by, Goo finds himself doing things by himself. Activities that he used to do with you by his side, now without you by his side, his side feels cold. He’s at the arcade, the go-to place for when you guys hung out. Why was he there? Was it to reminisce what you two used to have? Does he miss you? He’s confused, unsettled, and hurt.

And was it fate when he turned to his side by reflex and saw Gun with you playing his favorite claw machine? Goo’s heart skipped a beat and his whole body freezes. His eyes moving rapidly, quickly analyzing and taking all the details, Gun staring at you with adoration, you smiling and giggling while holding the big plushie you had yearned for, and frowned when Goo had failed to capture it many times. And lastly, their pinkish blush on their faces.

Next thing he knew, he’s walking, no, running out of that arcade with this lingering pain in his chest. His heart is pounding, his thoughts are racing, and he’s running out of breath. “What’s this feeling?”, he thought while almost choking “what am i doing?”, he couldn’t think of anything else. That one moment of you and Gun together keeps replying in his head, then a tear runs down Goo’s cheek.

There is a story on Webtoon titled "Cinderella Boy" by Punko. It's so good. The humor is natural, the lore of the story is well-developed, and the chemistry between characters is fascinating (familial, platonic, or romantic). Give it a read!

I hadn't realized how long it had been since I read The Little Trashmaid. I had a lot to catch up on since the last time I read it, and shocker, it did not disappoint. It's always sorta bittersweet reading each episode, because they're hilarious, but all of the comedy hinges on the reality of the oceans being polluted seemingly beyond repair.

That said, the most recent episodes give me hope and that counts for more than the creators could ever know ( ´ ▽ ` ).｡ｏ♡
